“For those who understand, no explanation is necessary; for those who do not,

no explanation is possible. “

Today, the number of U.S. nurses reporting symptoms related to burnout has risen to 62 percent, according to a recent national survey conducted by the American Nurses Association. But you know that already – you live this reality every day.

It’s the end of your shift. It has been a stressful day. How can you even process what all you’ve seen and felt today?  What should you do next?

You take care of everyone else.  How are you going to take care of you? Is there someone who can understand the sloppiness of your day – someone who can listen to you talk it out without trying to ‘fix’ you or the situation?

I can.

This is something I can do for you.

  • My job is to be Your Listening Partner – I am not a coach.  My job isn’t to tell you what to do, but to hear what you have to say.  I’m not trying to help you find a quick fix.
  • My job is to listen with an open, non-judgmental heart. I am a Board Certified Chaplain with over 20 years of experience in hospital, industrial and organ donor settings.
  • My job is to help you reconnect with your personal resources, which just may help you reconnect to your “why.”
  • My job is to ask you open, honest questions that can help unlock or reconnect with that Wisdom within.

Call it intuition or your Soul or the Great Spirit. Whatever you call it, each of us has Wisdom that is waiting for an invitation to speak up and reveal your truth.. This Wise voice within will communicate t solutions to the messiest of situations.

We access, or invite, our Wisdom to show up when we open the door with an open, honest question.

An open question is one that:

  1. You don’t already know the answer to.
  2. Does not lead.
  3. Is neutral.

By organically building a relationship with the Wisdom within yourself, you are inviting it to share and encourage you to find your own solutions.

For example,  an honest question might include:

  • “How did that work out for you?”
  • “How did that make you feel?”
  • “What does that mean?”

As Your Listening Partner, my goal is to listen with an open heart and to support you as you work on questions in your life.

Through “Heart to Heart Spiritual Care,” I am offering for six months a package of:

  • discrete, confidential self-care via bi-weekly 45-90 minute zoom calls
  • a signed copy of Amazon best seller “Heart to Heart: Spiritual Care through Deep Listening”
  • a copy of “Heart to Heart Special Pandemic Edition Companion Workbook for Nurses”
  • pocket card with sample questions

Remember, a question is an invitation.

So…how may I be of help to you?
